High Court - Master's Court - Recommencing from 10 May 2021
Friday 30th April 2021
Terms & Sittings
1509 Days ago

Work in the Master’s Court will recommence with effect from 10th May, 2021.  The attention of practitioners is drawn to HC: 106.

Priority reopening is to be afforded to the Master’s Court in circumstances where, unlike almost all other “high footfall” lists, it has not been possible to place the work of this court on a remote platform, allied to the fact that it has been closed for longer than any other Court.  In so deciding due regard has been had to current public health guidance, all current and projected Covid-19 statistics and the Government’s vaccination programme.

The Master will sit Monday to Friday inclusive from 10:30am to 1:00pm and from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The start times of all proceedings and applications will be staggered due to Covid-19 considerations and these will be published in the legal diary and on this website.

Hearings/applications in the Master’s Court will be conducted in strict compliance with all Covid-19 public health guidance and in compliance with the Court’s own practice directions.

Parties must not arrive to the Master’s Court more than 5 minutes in advance of the start time allocated to their proceedings/application and are asked to comply, immediately and with courtesy, to all or any directions they may receive from Courts Service staff engaged in supervising the areas adjacent to the Court.

Sittings of the Master’s Court will cease in the event of (i) non-compliance on the part of practitioners with Covid-19 public health guidance (ii) breach of any relevant Practice Directions or (iii) any other public health considerations.

Mary Irvine.
Dated 30th day of April 2021.
